A good skincare routine is something I really look forward to at the beginning and end of the day to keep my skin healthy and happy. It’s been frustrating when there are plenty colorful packaged products with shiny labels promising ‘hydrated, clear, glowy, radiant’ skin. This year I’ve been trying to keep my skin under control as it’s been more prone to breakouts since we started wearing facemasks. So time to give the skin some extra TLC – let’s relax, destress and feel good!
My skin type is combination sensitive so it can get easily irritated and triggered by any harsh ingredients. After tests and trials of countless products over the last fifteen years since my teen years, I am really conscious of what products to buy now. I follow a basic skin care routine and based on research here are five brands I am happy with.

A great budget friendly drugstore option for sensitive skin as it’s free from harsh chemicals and has no perfume, no alcohol, no mineral oils or colour. A lot of products have petroleum- based ingredients which can actually dry out the skin. So far the refreshing wash, soothing facial toner, a hydrating serum water boost hydrating booster and the hydrating light moisturizer leaves my skin feeling clean, balanced and hydrated.

If you are looking to wake up dull skin the Ginzing Energy- Boosting cream is great, my skin feels plump and not greasy. The zingy smell from the orange peel and spearmint oils gives you an instant kick and it’s not strong either. The refreshing scrub cleanser instantly boosts radiance and gets rid of dull skin. My skin looks like I did a mini facial.

I love all of the products I have tried so far, a little bit pricer but definitely worth it. The intense recovery cream really helps with redness and stressed out skin keeping it calm, you can notice a huge difference after the first application. The pre-biotic 4-1 multi-cleanser removes all traces of oil, dirt and makeup without over drying. I have stopped using any exfoliants with huge beads on the face as I feel its too harsh, so the the AHA/BHA exfoliating cleanser is a gentle exfoliating creamy cleanser to remove dead skin and revel smooth skin. Lastly the Vitamin C range is great for hyperpigmentation, dark spots and uneven skin tone.

The special cleansing gel is a mild soap free gel that soothes the skin and balances the skin levels moisture. My skin isn’t stripped of its natural oils and feels supple.

During my work travels I had countless days of stress and lack of sleep resulting in dark circles and puffiness. I found the The caffeine solution which has a high concentration in caffeine and anti-inflammatories has helped with those concerns.
Cheers to happy skin all!
