In 2013, when I was 23 I moved from London to Asia with an low bank account, one huge suitcase and dreams. Over the years, I worked for a range of different industries and travelled extensively across South East Asia, the EU and Middle East. My life, career and relationships has been crazy, stressful and fun over the last 10 years with breakdowns and hard lessons learnt along the way. Now I crave stability, security and normality. I’d love to share the lessons I learnt from successful people and from my failures.
Commitment
When life gets tough it’s hard to stay focused and normal to feel unmotivated. Now I start to think about the bigger picture, my long-term goals and think why am I doing this? It could be to become a better writer and content producer, to provide for my family or to make an impact in the lives of others. It’s easier said than done but when I focus on the small wins and achievements I am able to motivate myself to do more.

Value & Service
How can I provide value to each area of a business? Whether it’s photocopying 100 pages, writing a creative article to building new relationships and winning new business, I ask myself how can I provide more value to the team and role I was put in. I now think about quick wins and how can I make a positive impact as soon as possible. More importantly, to think on my feet and out of the box for bright ideas.

Give 100%
I want to take pride in everything I do. To do the best I can with every task I am given even if it’s basic tasks, boring and not challenging enough. Sometimes work isn’t fun all the time as it’s still a job but that’s okay cause there are good days and terrible days. As they say, good things take time so I’ve learnt patience and persistent is key.

Humility & Gratitude
No matter how good we get it’s good to stay humble, grounded, have a growth mindset and learn from every situation. It’s also good to keep my mouth shut when I don’t have anything good to say – woops! Even if I have the worst manager, I will think of the positive aspects such as great opportunities or growing mentally stronger.
