April has been a beautiful reset.
It started with slowly taking care of myself again, pouring into my own cup first and discovering the mental strength and happiness that comes from giving yourself what you need and want.
After six months of feeling scattered, overstimulated, and emotionally worn out, especially during the last three months, which took a real toll on my health, body, energy, and mindset – I knew something had to shift. Not with a big, dramatic gesture, but through small and steady acts of love.
Letting Go
I began decluttering—my body, my mind, and my space. I let go of habits that left me feeling drained: late nights, too much sugar, the cycle of binge eating and drinking to escape rather than feel. I also stepped away from relationships and conversations that no longer felt aligned—people who drained my energy, treated me poorly, left me second-guessing myself, or made me feel emotionally unsafe.
I began layering in routines, habits, and thoughts that felt nourishing, grounding, and joyful. I found myself naturally drawing in better energy and the right people.

Happiness of Simple Rituals
Once I created space, I started filling it with better things.
I began making myself breakfast again—something warm, like eggs, roast beef, fruits, greek yogurt and tea. I started walking daily, sometimes for over 10KM, through the Marina, along the beach, or in green, quiet places that gave me room to breathe and think. On days I felt energised, I’d run 5KM, either on my own, with friends or my run clubs. I also kept up my HIIT classes on the weekends. Movement became my therapy, a way to ground myself, reconnect with my body, and feel confident again.
Emotional Decluttering
Perhaps the hardest part was recognising how much emotional clutter I had been carrying. Some of it came from relationships that no longer made sense. Some from the expectations I had of myself and others. Some from trauma that had slowly built up.
But when I finally began to let it go, I felt lighter and calmer. I started sleeping better. Smiling more. Thinking clearer. I stopped waiting for someone else to rescue me from the mess. I started doing it myself, one small choice at a time.

Solo Dates
One of the lovely parts of this reset was taking myself out on little dates. A comforting meal, my favourite breakfast or dessert at a cozy café with greenery, water views, or warm light. I love returning to familiar favourites like Vida Dubai Marina & Yacht Club or Vida Emirates Hills but lately, I’ve started exploring new spots in Jumeira, close to home. I realised how much joy I could create for myself with no waiting, no need for anyone else to validate it.
Clean Living
I’ve come to truly enjoy clean living—creating a slow, planned life rooted in intention and peaceful direction. It’s choosing what feels good in my body, space, and soul. Not through a rigid routine, but through a mindset. A softness. A way of being that starts with kindness to yourself and naturally extends to others.
Its space for my wants, finding beauty in everyday moments, moving the body with love, saying no to what depletes me, treating myself with care and intention, and wholeheartedly saying yes to what brings you alive.
