4 Little Pick-Me-Ups

Some days just need a little lift, don’t we. Maybe it’s the midweek slump, maybe it’s after a long day of running around, or maybe it’s just one of those “meh” mornings when you can’t quite shake off the fog. Over the past few months, I’ve been noticing the little rituals and things that instantly put me in a better mood, tiny sparks of joy that shift the energy of a whole day. Here are four of my favorites right now.

Slipping into a Summer Dress

There’s something about a summer dress that feels like an instant mood-lifter. The moment I swap out jeans or office wear for something floaty and breezy, I feel lighter. It doesn’t even need to be a special occasion, sometimes just slipping into a dress on an ordinary Tuesday is enough to brighten the whole day. Most of my current favorites are from Bershka and Stradivarius, fun, and perfect for those easy summer moments when you want to look put-together without trying too hard.

Centella Face Mask

On days when my skin feels tired (which usually means I feel tired too), I reach for a centella face mask. Centella asiatica, sometimes called cica is known as the “soothing herb,” and it works wonders for calming stressed or sensitive skin. But beyond the skincare benefits, there’s something therapeutic about the calming mask.

My Feel-Good Playlist

I’ve started keeping a “Feel-Good” playlist on my Spotify playlist songlist, whether I’m cooking dinner, walking to a meeting, or just need a burst of energy while cleaning the house.

What I love about playlists is how personal they are, your own soundtrack to life. Making one feels almost like journaling through music. And once it’s ready, it becomes a go-to tool for a quick mood and energy shift.

Marks & Spencer’s Sleep Apothecary

Evening is when I crave the biggest reset. One of my favorites has been Marks & Spencer’s Sleep Apothecary line, especially anything with lavender oil. A spritz of pillow mist or a few sprays around my home and suddenly bedtime feels like a ritual instead of just a routine.

Lavender has been so relaxing giving me the ability to relax the body and calm the mind. I unwind and sleep deeper when I use it, but more than that, it signals to me: the day is done, it’s time to rest. There’s something luxurious about creating a bedtime ambience, even if all you do is light a candle, spray your pillow, and climb into bed with a book. It doesn’t take much, but it makes such a difference.
